To view a copy of Home Warranty of America coverage terms, click HERE.

Coverage begins on the Coverage Period Start Date and ends on the last day of the Coverage Period provided initial payment is received on or before the Contract Start Date. If you selected the regular payment option and HWA elects to renew, you will be notified of the terms and price within 30 days before expiration of coverage. You will automatically be renewed for one year unless you notify HWA in writing prior to plan expiration.

You must notify HWA for Service Requests as soon as the problem is discovered. HWA will dispatch Service Requests to an Authorized Repair Technician within 48 hours.

You will pay the Trade Call Fee or the actual cost of services, whichever is less. The Trade Call Fee for each visit is payable to the Authorized Repair Technician at the time of each visit.

HWA has the sole right to determine whether a covered appliance, system or component will be repaired or replaced. Parts and replacements will be of similar or equivalent quality and efficiency.

You may cancel the contract at any time, but HWA may only cancel due to non-payment, fraud, material misrepresentation, or breach of contract. If you or HWA cancels within 30 days of the Contract Start Date and you have not received service, you are entitled to a full refund less a cancellation fee of the lesser of $30 or 10% the contract fee.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!! Someone came out to “fix” our dishwasher and we paid $100.00. The next time we used our dishwasher it didn’t work. Called them and they sent someone else out. I asked them if I would be responsible for $100.00. They said no. The guy came out and “fixed it” again. Never heard from them. I received an invoice on 12/6/17 saying I owed the $100.00. I called them on 12/7/17 telling them that I don’t owe the money per the last customer representative I spoke to. I disputed the second charge on 12/7/17 and they “sent it for further review.” I called back on 12/15/17 as I hadn’t heard from anyone and received another invoice and they said that it was reviewed on 12/7/17 and that I owed the money. I didn’t know they worked so fast. They also locked me out of my online account and suspended my contract because I hadn’t paid. Let’s all remember that I just got the first invoice on 12/6/17.

On 12/15/17 I asked to speak to a supervisor and no one was available. I also asked the man to tell me how much the part was and he said he can’t see how much it is. I requested to speak to someone who can tell me that information and he told me there is no one to speak to regarding that information. I told him that I would be able to check myself if I wasn’t locked out of my account for an invoice that was sent 9 DAYS AGO! I told him I would wait for a supervisor then said “sorry I can’t transfer anyone either.” The point is that everyone there is useless, pathetic and not helpful. STAY AWAY!

In the two claims that were made, the first was a leaking bathtub that was causing water damage to the bottom floor ceiling of my home. The plumber that was sent out to the house incorrectly diagnosed the cause of the leak, I ended up purchasing the necessary equipment to fix the tub and performing the maintenance myself, a wasted 100 dollar deductible. The second time was another plumbing issue, this time the plumbing company that responded did a great job with my kitchen sink. However, the largest and most egregious of instances that occurred during my time with this warranty company was when they took $45.95 from my account and refused to refund me my money when I told them I no longer wanted to be a consumer of their product. I would not trust this company with my money and I suggest that if you are looking for someone to provide you with a home warranty that you look elsewhere for your purchase. Home Warranty of America is not to be trusted, they will take your money, tell you over the phone that you will receive a full refund and then the next person you speak with will tell you the first individual was mistaken and that you will not be getting your hard earned money back. They do not care about their customers, they only care about weeding out every last dollar they can before you walk away disgusted with the manner in which you’ve been treated. Overall, two big thumbs down for the HWA. Trust me, I’d stay away. You have been warned. Good luck in your search for a company that will take care of you properly.

I like the 24/7 service the warranty company provides, however, the company is slow to process and distribute payment on replacement products and customer support not responding back with approved vendors in a timely manner.

Poor customer service. They did not fix my issue and I still had to find a local contractor to fix the leak. I was still charged a service fee (even though my problem was not fixed). seems like they are happy with the existing business they have and not keen on keeping customers happy.

Beware before you sign up with this company.

Home Warranty of America is simply an amazing warranty provider. They provide 24/7 customer support, surprisingly low quotes alongside a vast variety of home insurance plans, and the fastest/most reliable customer service I’ve ever worked with. I’m ecstatic to say my home insurance is now provided by Home Warranty of America.

I am very impatient when it comes to getting quick services. This company is thus the best for me. I am able to file for complain over the internet and in return I get quick responses. This is convenient for me as I am always working on the internet. All transactions are online, making it even more suitable for my situation.
