First Year Customer contract term begins upon the date stated on your Contract Agreement pages and continues for one year from that date (unless AHS approves an alternative contract term in writing) and provided Plan Fees are received by AHS. Renewal Customer contract term begins upon expiration of previous contract term and continues for one year, provided plan feed is received by AHS within 45 days after expiration.

When making replacements, American Home Shield is responsible for installing replacement equipment and parts of similar features, capacity, and efficiency but not for matching dimensions, brand, or color. AHS is not responsible for matching any feature of an existing item that does not contribute to the primary function of that item.

In instances where the combined cost of diagnosis and repair or replacement is estimated to exceed a stated contract dollar limit, AHS will not provide repair or replacement services but will instead pay an amount equal to the contract dollar limit minus the cost incurred to diagnose the malfunction.

The customer contract may be cancelled by AHS for the following reasons: (A) Nonpayment of contract fees or other breach of contract by the customer; (B) Fraud or misrepresentation by the customer of facts material to AHS’s issuance of the contract; or (C) a change in laws or regulations that has a material effect on the business or AHS’ ability to fulfill its obligations under the contract.

The customer may cancel the contract at any time and for any reason. If the customer or AHS cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will receive a full refund of all contract fees paid if AHS has not provided any services. If AHS has provided services, the customer will receive a refund of the contract fees paid, less the service costs incurred by AHS.

I had AHS, went to First American. Their contractors are more responsive and are better. I was with out heat one winter, because AHS contractor hadn’t had a clue. Luckly, it was a mild winter. Response time was in several days, comapred to First Americans one. I live in King George, Va. First American also pays more for freon. They are also cheaper.

My oven and cooktop had to be either fixed or replaced and AHS did exactly what they promised. Also, they use reliable contractors for installation and delivery. I highly recommend them. Just be patient, they do their research.

We have had AHS for over 5 years on 2 homes. They are great to deal with. The only reason I didn’t give them a 10 is because they do frequently take a long time to get the service call out to you but that may be the contractor vs. AHS. They either get it right or come back and fix it if it’s not right or breaks down again quickly. They have always fixed everything even if it’s eventually. )Time to get out their, ordering parts, busted parts etc.)They did add on a surcharge for the AC freon this year that ended up costing us an additional $225 however i still think they are well worth the money.

I got AHS a little less than 2 months ago and suddenly my dryer dies. I call up AHS and it’s serviced within 2 days. Considering how low my quote was, I saved nearly $400! I couldn’t imagine something like a furnace dying and not having a warranty, talk about bankrupt…

My electric furnace and refrigerator went out within’ 2 months of each other and AHS came to the rescue. My husband and I calculated how much we saved and it’s easily in the $10,000 range including the furnace installation, etc. — Their phone service was quick to get replacements out and serviced technicians to install and make sure everything is working as intended. Couldn’t be happier!

My refrigerator failed to function properly as there was a fault with one of the compartments. Luckily I had insured it with this company. I informed them of the situation. To my surprise, they were there within some few hours with their qualified technicians. They assured me that my refrigerator will be back to normal in no time. Well, to my surprise again, that’s exactly what happened. I couldn’t ask for more. They are the best.
